Monarch House is a child development centre providing seamless services to families impacted with Autism Spectrum Disorder and or other developmental delays.
Reporting to the Clinical Director, and working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the psychologist provides psychological assessments (cognitive, adaptive, and psycho-educational) to children up to the age of 19. The psychologist may also be required to provide individual therapy services (based on demand).
Qualifications (guidelines for professional practice) Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with specific training in Psychological assessment. Registered with, or eligible for registration with, the College of Psychology of B.C. Minimum of (2) years of recent related experience working with parents and children impacted by a mental health and or developmental disorder. Specific expertise and experience in psychological assessment with low mental ability or behaviour disordered patients is essential. Specific knowledge of and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, the Autism Diagnostic Observational Scale, and the Autism Diagnostic Interview will be an asset.

Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge of community dynamics, agencies and resources. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Ability to deal effectively with wide range of community and facility contacts. Ability to respect client's rights, values and preferences including multi-cultural issues.
