Nursing
We can make arrangements to provide you with exceptional nursing services delivered by our Registered Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses. Our nurses are experienced and dedicated professionals who can provide wound and ostomy consults and care, advanced foot care, respiratory care, IV therapies, diabetes management, continence management, palliative care, and much more. A key focus of our nurses is teaching you and your family how to manage your health needs so you are able to safely and confidently manage your own care to the greatest extent possible.

Therapy Services
CBI Home Health is an established leader in community based rehabilitation therapy services. Our Licensed therapists are trained to evaluate and treat clients for conditions resulting from illness, injury or surgery. Through a multidisciplinary approach, CBI Home Health therapists offer individualized solutions specific to each client's unique healthcare needs. Our therapy services are designed to improve both the patients' and their families' capacity to be successful in every aspect of their lives.
At CBI Home Health, we offer the following therapies:
Occupational Therapy
At CBI Home Health our Occupational Therapists (OTs) are registered professionals who work with individuals of all ages in their homes and in the community to help them to be as independent as possible in activities of daily living as well as in vocational and leisure pursuits.
Our Occupational Therapists can:

Assess an individual's functional performance of Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

Identify barriers to performance of ADLs with the goal of restoring function

Assess in home adaptation/modification

Asses and prescribe specialized mobility aids including manual and power wheelchairs, seating and positioning devices, walkers and scooters

Assess workplace ergonomics
Our Occupational Therapists also provide support to preschoolers in the home setting, as well as children in the school, to enable them to function as well as possible in the school environment.
Our Paediatric Occupational Therapists can:

Assess fine motor, sensory motor, visual perceptual, prevocational skills and mobility

Recommend adaptations to the classroom for special needs and equipment

Improve productivity with activities such as scissors skills, written communication and prevocational skills

Physiotherapy
Our registered Physical Therapists assess and provide treatment to help clients of all ages increase mobility, strength, balance, and coordination. Our Therapists also work with family and community resources to maximize our client's rehabilitation process.
Our Physiotherapists can:

Provide rehabilitation for clients recovering from an illness or accident

Assess and determine appropriate and common goals for clients

Implement treatment for a variety of conditions (e.g. orthopedic, neurological, respiratory, palliative, post surgical, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, frail individuals/falls prevention)

Address issues regarding safety and appropriate equipment required in order for clients to be safe in their own residence

Assess the risk of falling and prescribe appropriate walking aids

Assist clients to obtain funding for mobility aids, including walkers under the Assistive Devices Program (ADP)

Educate the community and health care professionals in optimizing health, fitness and injury prevention

Registered Dietitians
Good nutrition is important for your health. CBI Home Health's Registered Dietitians provide nutrition counselling for individuals of any age with specific medical needs as well as to those who wish to maintain optimal health. Our approach integrates nutrition counselling with your overall health maintenance program.
Our professional Dietitians will evaluate your nutritional needs and:

Offer nutritional advice regarding special diet needs (e.g. high cholesterol, high calorie, high protein, heart health)

Explain how food and diet relate to your condition or to your overall health

Work with you to identify your personal nutrition goals and create a plan to reach them

Social Workers

Speech Language Pathologists
At CBI Home Health our registered Speech Language Pathologists assist clients in the home and community with communication and swallowing disorders. We pride ourselves in the quality time we spend with our clients evaluating and treating the specific area of speech and language needing restoration and/or compensation. Our experienced Speech-Language Pathologists work with individuals of all ages to enable then to communicate as effectively as possible.
Our Speech Language Pathologists can:

Evaluate and treat speech difficulties such as pronouncing sounds or words, voice production or stuttering

Provide services for those who are having difficulty swallowing

Assist in obtaining specialized speech devices under the Assistive Devices Program (SDP)
