Intensive Behaviour Intervention

At Monarch House, we provide services based on best practices, using the approaches identified in the National Standards Report.

Our inter-disciplinary team of highly qualified staff includes Occupational Therapists, Registered Psychologists, Paediatricians, Behavioural Consultants, Speech Language Pathologists, Behaviour Interventionists, and Counsellors.

Why participate in groups?

Some individuals with ASD will attain greater outcomes with goals being taught in a group setting. Group teaching allow for skills to be taught in a “real-life” setting.

Behaviour Support

Individuals may have behaviours that significantly impact their daily functioning. To successfully address these behaviours, specific support is required.

This work is done by a Behaviour Consultant, and includes functional analysis of behaviour and positive behaviour support plans.

Counselling

Many individuals with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder can experience symptoms of depression and anxiety, along with other mental health concerns.

These, along with other related issues can be adequately addressed through counseling with qualified professionals who specialize in ASD.

Pediatrician Services

Our Pediatrician at Monarch House specializes in working with children with ASD to address any medical concerns.

Registered Psychologist Services

Monarch House provides psychological services which include cognitive, developmental, and adaptive assessments as well as psychotherapy (individual, couple, and family) by a Registered Psychologist specializing in ASD and related disorders.

Family Support

Monarch House provides immediate and ongoing support to help families navigate through the numerous complexities that follow a diagnosis of ASD.

Our intake coordinator provides support and education in helping you understand “what to do now”.

At Monarch House, we provide ongoing support and education throughout treatment, and for parents and families in the form of:

  • Sibling Support Group
  • Parent Support Group
