What parents are saying about Monarch House...
"We couldn't be happier with the progress our son has made. We know how much everyone here seems to care about our son and family"
"We have seen huge improvements with our son. Our family and friends can't believe the changes they see in him week by week. We wish we had come to (Monarch House) sooner"
"What a wonderful facility! I'm sure it will be a great benefit to a lot of families"
"(For) four years my son has received treatment (elsewhere). My child has been here for the last month (and) he has received the best care. Thank you. Keep up the excellent work"
"We are very happy and lucky to belong here. Our children have improved in so many ways. We feel that we are always welcome and our children love learning (here). Thank you all always"
"I have to say that I have yet to see a program that compares to Monarch House.
When we started Treatment <our child> had Behaviour issues, could not hold a conversation and was unable to initiate peer play. He was obsessive with specific topics and would not entertain the thought of playing with another peers interests.
Today <he> is a completely different Child and at the end of his pre school year this year his aid and teacher commented that he was completely able to function in the classroom with the other children in a social setting with no help!
<Our child's> BC, BI's, SLP, and OT have always made me feel like they have an invested interest in his progress. I have been involved in his Behaviour Plan at every step. <Our> team works hard to listen to our concerns as parents and along with their education and expertise make a plan that will help him have the best chance as possible at a functioning and happy life. If at any time I have wanted to change a component to <our> program or have a concern about his progress they have always had time to sit with me and discuss different options.
I will give you my top advantages to Monarch house:
Advantages
- The kids get 1:1 as well as peer interaction all on one place. Monarch house does this in a way that is unique to other centers because they get quiet intensive 1:1 therapy in separate rooms with their BI's in regards to skills that are very hard to grasp and once those skills have been mastered they are able to move them into a peer setting because there are aways lots of other children around.
- The light room and gym in my opinion is essential for break times it keeps the children motivated and not so overwhelmed.
- ALL staff is screened for you, they are educated, trained, experienced and supported with a huge team of other professionals.
- If a therapist is sick our children do not miss any time because there is always someone to take their place ( and in fact with <our child> we have noticed that when his BI is sick we sometimes luck out and get his BC or senior therapist in their place)
- There are always other parents around as a resource to talk to and get support and information from, set up play dates ect. "
