Our Team

Ian Moodie BSc, MBA - General Manager

Ian Moodie has been the General Manager and owner of CBI We Care Montreal since late 2007. Over the past 15 years, he has been active in community health and social services in the Montreal area, as a member of the Board of Directors of the government agency that looks after persons with developmental disabilities, and as a Board member of a school for children with special needs. Ian led a foundation that raised over $1 million dollars and built a much-needed respite home for autistic children. He continues to give back to his community as an active member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Westmount.

Karla Donnelly LPN - Regional Clinical Lead/Client Care Manager

Karla has had a breadth of experience in healthcare, not only as a nurse specializing in the care of seniors but also having held a variety of medical and surgical positions in veterinary medicine. At We Care Montreal, she manages the care provided by our caregivers and carries out home care assessments of new clients and periodic reassessments of on-going clients. These assessments are an essential part of well-managed care. Karla is the Regional Care Lead for the Montreal office where she shares best practices and new care developments with her fellow Care Managers in many of our 50 offices across Canada.

Wendy Lemus LPN - Senior Client Care Coordinator

At We Care Montreal, Wendy Lemus is our Senior Coordinator, Client Service. Her key responsibilities are recruiting the best possible caregivers and scheduling care assignments. One of her most important tasks is finding the right caregiver for each client. Wendy brings some real talent to this vital part of ensuring the best possible care. It requires an in-depth understanding of what it takes to be a good caregiver and of the great diversity of care needs we deal with every day.

Vanessa Prochnau RN - Home Care Nurse/Advanced Foot Care Specialist

Vanessa brings over 20 years of a broad range of nursing experience to We Care and our clients. She supports our care team through carrying out new client assessments and develops care plans that are an important tool in meeting the specific needs of our clients. Vanessa is an experienced foot care nurse and directs our foot care services, a most important care service for ensuring the continued mobility and overall health of many seniors.

Anna Ruscito - Client Care Coordinator

Anna is an experienced administrative support worker. She works tirelessly to ensure that client schedules are properly maintained and that schedule changes, even the most untimely, are handled with a smile and good cheer. She keeps the office in good order and is our ‘unsung’ hero at We Care Montreal.

Gema Ponce, Coordinator - Payroll and Billing

Gema has a depth of experience in providing administrative services in both public and private organizations in Montreal. Making sure the timekeeping, payroll calculations and client billings are done on-time and error-free is a demanding part of Gema’s work and she meets this challenge every two weeks without fail.

Sherley Landry, Community Care Representative

Sherley has worked as a Personal Support Worker in the public health care system in the Montreal area, and has come to know well our healthcare system at the grass roots level. She is our Community Care Representative, ensuring that all our existing and prospective clients are aware of all the multitude of care resources that We Care can make available to them.

  • We regularly measure our client's satisfaction and make sure that any concerns are addressed immediately through open and transparent discussions.

  • Our recruiting and retention policies ensure that we attract, hire and retain the best quality caregivers available.
