CBI Home Health – Here to Support You

A message from CEO Jon Hantho to the Home Health Team

Chris Wilson Appointed New Chair of Home Care Ontario

Dear Team,

I am so pleased to share with you that Chris Wilson, our Vice President of Home Health Ontario and Atlantic, is now also the new chair of Home Care Ontario.

Home Care Ontario is an organization made up of home care providers from all across the province, including CBI Health. Home Care Ontario represents the home care sector in discussions with the government. Their goal is to help improve, build and grow the home care industry while strengthening the support that is given to home care providers, including all of you.

Chris will continue in her current position while using this role to do important work to help strengthen the home care sector in Ontario. I am so proud of Chris, this is well earned. She brings all the right qualities to this role at a time of immense change to the health care system and when strong leadership is needed most.

Please join me in congratulating Chris on this exciting new role!

Stay safe and be well,

Jon Hantho

President & CEO

To all our Home Health and Specialized Community Services teams:
These past few weeks have been difficult, but they have also been a time of amazing strength. Thank you for going out each day to care for the people that are counting on you. Thank you for keeping yourself safe. Thank you for making your clients feel confident and comfortable with their care. The work you are doing is important not just for CBI Health, not just for your clients, but for the community where you live. In the face of fear and uncertainty, you are heroes. Thank you for the incredible work you are doing. Please know that we are here to support you, and please keep yourself safe.

A note about PPE:
During the pandemic, your safety is our top priority. We know there are concerns about the worldwide shortage of PPE, but know that we are fighting for you. CBI Health is lobbying hard with our provincial and federal healthcare partners to make sure our essential frontline teams are treated as essential, which means you are at the front of the line for support and supplies. While it is important that we continue to responsibly follow directions for PPE use so that there is enough to go around, we are also fighting hard to ensure your safety and well-being. We are always looking for new sources of PPE and keeping up to date on ways to keep you safe. Every single day, we are talking to our government and healthcare partners across the country, fighting for you. We will continue to do so to make you get the protection and support you deserve.
If you have questions or concerns about PPE, please contact your supervisor. Training and guides are available.
